STUDENTS | Turner Adornetto

Turner Adornetto is a PhD student in MIT’s HASTS program. His interests in energy and infrastructure owe to a range of complementary experiences: from studying imaginaries of livestock and solar power in northern Tanzania, to leading upgrades of the bulk electric system in Colorado, to writing energy policy briefs for manufacturers and county officials in Ohio. At present, Turner’s research considers how resilience is understood and engineered across technoscientific, sociocultural, and environmental contexts. He hopes to incorporate passions for documentary filmmaking and engineering education in his scholarly work. He holds a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a minor in STS from The Ohio State University.
